I'm sure he does Michael, but it has been two complete resets now and a lot of us have lost a LOT of work, I am just getting back into the game and I just found my ideal base location so im putting my thoughts out there in case any options have been overlooked as I don't want there to be a third reset any time soon . No offence is meant to anyone.
I was under the impression anything "information panel" be it advanced or otherwise was a no go (I have never used either of them so dont know the difference). Anyway nuff said.
Yeah i assumed the problems were due to the advanced info panels structural coding (flex, skew, tilt etc) Which is a very new piece of coding for the mod, sort of along the lines of microblocks, but they've had time to settle in the previous FTB mods.
I didn't go overboard on the panels this time round either, only 4 single panels with no extenders and only 2 were active. But like Mic said, the coding is apparently used for other things as well.
The code in question is the tangled web for the entire sensors mod coding which as far as i'm reading seems to be tied into a ton of other mods including nuclear reactor control. anything that can potentially take or use a sensor card. Which to everyones dismay also includes Railcraft tanks.
Even placing one of these machines can activate the relevant coding within the sensors mod. This unfortunately is around 40% of the devices in FTBu now.
Whether the sensor is used or not the mod coding is still active in the background to allow the sensors to be used on all of these machines and items.
feels like ground hog day atm, wish there was some way to check if tomorrow will happen or not :S
I am wondering if the corruption is happening at the point of restart, maybe broonie could do some tests?
This time it had something to do with the wireless redstone map. Unfortunately these issues seem to be on mods that are tied into so many different Mods/Items. Really this is down to very poor coding to begin with. I'm hoping they come out with a fix soon otherwise i'm joining the others to vote for removal of FTBu until such time as it's server based stable (which also includes the bugs forcing a low player limit)
Just tried to log on this morning 10:15 to see if deleting my player file had helped and its still the same, when I joined the server crashed?
Are you sure your player file already was deleted? Maybe broonie didn't have the time to do it, yet.
I would think that if your profile was reset, you would start at spawn when you logged in TheBlueGenie. Therefore please confirm with Broonie that your player file has been reset before logging in again.
If you do log in again and start at spawn, do NOT go home again - as it seems like that chunk in the server is a Baaaaaaaad one!!!
Random crash at 04:53 GMT (unleashed ofc). Restart worked so all is up again.
I had a soulshard mob spawner actively running and warped away and back there. Maybe that caused the crash with chunk loading the spawner. Just a wild guess since i often get lag trouble with that spawner

Any idea why I can't log in? Just stays on Logging in... for ages?
wrong version ? server is still 1.6.
(ftbultimate) had a brief moment tonite at 5:10am everyone got dropped for about 1 min before we could re-connect, just wondering if theres anything in the logs or maybe just a connection interruption?

Network dropouts are highly unlikely on this network, the servers just crashing (and CFUK master server restarting automatically). FTBU is the only server covered by this (trial) automatic restarter just now.
oh! nice. Well it seems to be working. 3rd time the server stayed alive.
Is there an issue with information panels and tickthreading?
Ok note to everyone planning on using wired modems with CC. When messing with the modems. Make sure the script is terminated otherwise it crashes the server...
