OK lets see if I can attach pictures

Community choice appears to be down this morning. I had been levelling ground for a base extension earlier in the week, thought I'd start building but no response...

Also the server map's been broken a while.

UPDATE: 7:44pm there's a server running but it appears to be running with a completely fresh map. Inventory reset and I walked to a waypoint and there's ocean where a village used to be.

Quick bug report concerning the RFTools crafter and mekanism, well it may affect other mods. The crafter treats different tiers of energy cube and induction block as interchangeable, meaning it will happily craft an advanced cube using an advanced (or higher) cube as ingredient instead of basic. Worse still it will craft the advanced block using four advanced blocks as ingredients. I had quite a lot of supplies vanish before I realised.

I don't know if other "programmed recipe" crafters do this.

I even wondered if it could be done by setting a waypoint and then walking round it keeping your distance from the waypoint constant.

A quick note about RFTools dimensions. I would strongly advise NOT using an "Ore berry" dimlet as a terrain modifier. Features yes (Orbs FTW!!) but NOT terrain, unless possibly you are using the "Grid" terrain which is mostly space.

My guess is that the ore berry "bush" is an "active" block with a growth cycle, and large numbers of them growing cause a storm of block updates.

I had another look at "Dark plastic" and as far as I can tell while those chunks are in memory the server tick rate becomes ludicrously slow. Even after porting out you can't access inventories.

Well lets get on with the tour then...

Some serious machines so it isn't just a structure...
32
More machines
13
That is some SERIOUS bees...man I never could get into bees properly, always seemed to end up with really ordinary types.

OK the sky fence puzzled me, but I'm guessing an ender quarry with world hole might have been used to clear the site before building?

Oh and meanwhile the mining cart was still going

That was one crazy-big build. Is there a technique for laying out circles in Minecraft though, I've seen some other big round stuff including that odd thing in CC.
Re: Broadcasting on Twitch right now (Server Discussion) Posted on 02 Jan : 11:33
Looks like I missed you, trying to figure the settings for streaming my own session...the options in OBS don't seem to match the description in Twitch help, and when I did get it streaming it was with a big black border round the game screen.
Re: The Screenshot Thread. (Minecraft General) Posted on 02 Jan : 09:01
Well I had a bit of a look around on DW20 before it closed, there was a large nearly round structure visible on the world map so I decided to take a look
24
1: I'm not so good at getting around, but Steve's carts provided the answer with a tunnel spanning most of the way. I switched to skyrail when I got close.

37
2: I have no idea what happened to those trees, but the "box" was big enough to span several chunks on the livemap

57
3: What I thought was a chunk glitch wasn't. This is one reason why it is nice to have a dedicated "mining age".

51
4: And now the structure comes into view. The livemap didn't do it justice as many of the blocks didn't render.

The DNS record for the community server doesn't appear to work, though the server seems reachable as "minecraft.crazy-fools.co.uk:24444".

I believe it was a "SRV" record rather than the normal "A" or "CNAME" type.
Re: DW20 bug reporting (Do not post exploits or Dupe bugs) (Server Discussion) Posted on 22 Dec : 21:51
OK so for what it is worth the Steve's cart chunk loader appears suspect. It looks as if it may prevent chunks being updated, meaning changes to chunks get forgotten. It also may possibly happen even when toggled off?

This might be a conflict between the SC chunkloader and a World Anchor but the results were: The cart got duplicated. Some crafted parts vanished from ME storage.
